Purpose of Sandbox Mode
Sandbox mode is designed for collaborative play where participants can interact with the map without getting full table-admin power.
- Encourages fast collaboration during sessions.
- Reduces accidental configuration changes.
- Keeps table settings under owner/manager control.
Who Can Use Sandbox Tables
- Wyrld tables: Wyrld members can collaborate in sandbox mode.
- User-based public tables: guests can participate when the table is public and sandbox mode is enabled.
What Sandbox Mode Allows
- Map/canvas interaction and collaborative edits during play.
- Dragging existing sidebar images onto the canvas.
- Normal real-time participation in session activity.
What Sandbox Mode Restricts
- Table settings menu remains restricted to owner (or managers for project-based tables).
- Regular collaborators cannot rename tables or change public visibility.
- Image asset/folder administration and metadata management are not granted by default.
When to Use Sandbox Mode
- Live play where players should interact freely without changing table configuration.
- Guest-facing demo tables where you want activity but controlled settings.
- Wyrld sessions where managers/owners keep admin actions separate from player actions.
